Cycle on an Active Volcano! Mount Etna Mountain Bike Tour
A guided mountain biking tour of twenty kilometres around the slopes of Mount Etna, one of the highest active volcanoes in Europe. The tour explores ancient craters, forests, volcanic caves and lava fields. Choose a mountain or electric bike. Tours are customised according to the level of fitness.

Requirements: Those not in good health, especially people suffering from cardiorespiratory diseases are advised not to take part in this excursion.
Minimum 4 people. Approx. 8 hrs including lunch break. 3 hrs cycling.
Depart: Catania, Taormina, and surrounding towns.
Times: 8.30 am-4.00 pm April-November, every day.
Languages Spoken: English, Italian, (Spanish, French on request). Minimum age 13.

NB: This tour involves approximately 6 hours of walking, reaching about 3330 metres in altitude, because of this, those who suffer from one of these conditions or who are in poor health, cannot participate in this excursion:, People with disabilities, Asthma, Heart problems or High blood pressure, Obesity, Pregnancy, Those who have recently had surgery, whatever other form of limitation that would not allow completion of the tour.
Itinerary changes: The tour itinerary may change according to the weather conditions of the Volcano and in government restrictions. In unfavourable weather conditions, the guide will decide an alternative route to the above.
Requirements: It is strongly advised not to participate in the tour if you are not in good health, especially if suffering from cardiac or respiratory disease. Please let us know in advance if you are vegan/vegetarian or have food allergies.
