A visit to the ancient ‘Valley of the Temples’

Discover the ancient Greek world at the Valley of the Temples and Roman architecture at the “Villa Romana del Casale” The tour begins with a pick-up service at your accommodation or nearby, by luxury 8-seater vehicle where you will be driven to the South coast of Sicily. First stop, a visit to the ancient ‘Valley of the Temples’, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The remains of many other temples dedicated to various divinities like Juno, Hercules, Hephaestus and Athena are located here. After exploring, it’s time for lunch: free tastings of typical Sicilian products with Mt Etna red wine or water, or, if you prefer, an hour of free time to spend as you please. Next, onwards to a town in the heart of Sicily, Piazza Armerina where the Roman ‘Villa Romana del Casale’ is situated. Here you will find the best conserved in-situ Roman mosaics in the world. Return is approximately at 6.30/7 pm. A great day out for lovers of history and archaeological sites!
