Favara Walk and Taste Tour, a pleasant walk that includes visiting the beautiful Renaissance “Mother Church”, with its characteristic dome (among the largest in Sicily) along with Piazza Cavour, the beating heart of the city. Onto the Castle of Chiaromonte, and the surprising Library of Baron Mendola, a great benefactor of Favara. Walking amongst the narrow streets of the historic centre, there will be visits to pastry shops and workshops where tastings of local produce, along with their history, will be had. Cannolo experience: sited as ‘The King of Sicilian Pastry’, the cannolo, the chance to learn how to create and decorate and savour the taste!

This tour also includes a visit to the Farm Cultural Park, a museum of contemporary art, and a visit to Marzipan – the Museum Della Mandorla Siciliana – which is located inside a building that was once an almond sorting centre of the Re brothers. The tasting and walking tour in Favara will end with a typical Sicilian lunch that includes a series of appetizers, a first course, water, fruit and of course wine.
